This 5-week, once-a-week series focuses on connecting each child to their whole self, free of criticism. Mindfulness is a way of paying attention to the present moment and what is happening both inside and outside of ourselves with an awareness that is open and allowing rather than judgemental or fixated. It's not always about calming the chaos, but rather sitting with the chaos and responding appropriately. By practicing mindfulness, your child can create a pause between stimulus and response (versus stimulus and reaction). These classes have been a real success for so many children. Each class includes multiple short age-appropriate mindfulness practices, mindful craft, mindful movement, and so much fun!
